II. Our story

An 18th-century
garden, given over
to the dogs.

Tucked between Peasedown St John and the Somerset countryside, Woodborough sits inside the original walled garden of an 18th-century estate. Where peach trees once espaliered against warm stone, today our boarders chase tennis balls across acres of secured grass.

We've been a family business since 1998. The faces around the yard change slowly; our standards don't change at all. Every dog is collected on a slip lead, every kennel scrubbed daily, every meal weighed to your instructions.

“The grass exercise areas are large enough that even our most enthusiastic guests come home pleasantly tired. That's what over twenty-five years of doing one thing well actually buys you.” — The Woodborough family
